This Profisee customer is a national healthcare group that provides physician services to the communities it serves in addition to advanced practice provider services, including emergency and hospitalist medicine, anesthesiology and neonatology.
Due to past and ongoing acquisitions, critical data regarding physicians, patients, payers and facilities was replicated across multiple systems and was often inconsistent. This inconsistent, low-quality data impeded efforts to consolidate critical systems, leading to delays and unplanned costs. Essential analytics to help drive operational efficiencies and deliver cost-effective care were also often out-of-date or based on erroneous data, and data errors coupled with the tedious, manual process of correcting them made core operational functions like billing and payments inefficient and slow.
To address issues of poor-quality, inconsistent master data for providers, patients, payers and locations, the customer sought an MDM solution, initially selecting an alternative vendor. But after two years with this vendor, implementation progress remained minimal, leading to delays and cost overruns. In 2024, the customer decided to cease further implementation efforts with the alternative vendor and selected Profisee as a more nimble, cost-effective MDM solution.
The Solution
