I’m very pleased to announce the immediate availability of the latest release of the Profisee Platform for MDM.

Profisee 2021 R2 continues to build on many of the investments we made throughout 2020 in usability and data steward functionality. In particular, this release includes a relationship viewer to provide a graph-like visualization of data to better understand the full context and provide another method to navigate your master data.

We also included a direct download to Excel that can handle up to a million records (basically the limit of Excel) – one more way to interact with your data! We have also enabled workflow templates and data quality enhancements to allow greater flexibility and easy rule validation for data stewards, both of which are productivity improvements for data stewards.

There are also a host of UI enhancements as we continue to improve the data stewardship experience by reducing clicks for common tasks and make it more visually appealing. And I would be remiss if I did not mention the preview of our integration with Microsoft Purview. This is the next step in our integration into the Azure ecosystem which started with our cloud-native PaaS release last year and continued with native integration with Azure Data Factory which was released in February. Microsoft Purview is in public preview and so our integration is also in preview, with a plan to go GA in the summer – in roughly the same timeframe as Purview itself. For those who may not know, Microsoft Purview is the foundation of Microsoft’s push into data governance. Purview catalogs and classifies data sources which is an ideal complement to Profisee which can then take those data sources and merge them while enforcing common data rules. The combination is a great foundation for managing enterprise data and accelerating business value! We will be discussing more on this in a webcast on May 19th.
