Profisee Now Available as Native Data Source in Power BI

When reporting on data — especially enterprise data from multiple sources — the data must be properly matched, merged and governed to form a reliable and trusted data foundation for business intelligence (BI) and analytics users.

That’s why we announced in February that in collaboration with Microsoft we had developed a Profisee Connector for Power BI.

The Profisee Connector for Power BI made it fast and easy to access clean, complete and accurate master data and reference data to help organizations accelerate “ad hoc” analytics and self-service reporting — even if they aren’t familiar with MDM or the Profisee platform.

Now we’ve taken the next step to make it even easier for Power BI users to import master data from Profisee into a Power BI model just like any other native Power BI data source, allowing them to easily load, model and leverage data directly in Power BI.

Profisee Will Be Available in the September 2022 Release of Power BI

We are happy to announce that Profisee will be available as a native data source in Power BI, allowing users to directly access high-quality master data without the need for any additional software, connectors or integration.

Users can simply select ‘Get Data’ and find Profisee available as an ‘online service’ directly within the Power BI Desktop app in the September release.

Profisee is now available in Power BI after completing a rigorous certification process with Microsoft to ensure seamless operation. Critically, data is imported into Power BI from Profisee via secure APIs based on the permissions of the user, ensuring users can only access the data they should — and eliminates the need for users to directly access the Profisee database.

I’m excited to announce this latest step in our ongoing strategic partnership with the Power BI team and Microsoft as we continue to help more people leverage the power of trusted data across their Azure environment.
