Profisee is excited announce a major milestone in data management within Microsoft Fabric: Profisee’s master data management (MDM) platform is now available in public preview as a SaaS workload in Microsoft Fabric.
This integration marks a groundbreaking shift, as it simplifies the creation of consumable data — data that is trusted, accessible and ready for immediate use — directly within Fabric. See a short demo of Profisee’s featured MDM workload here.
With Profisee’s Fabric workload, users will seamlessly access and improve their data in OneLake, Microsoft’s unified data lake, and the interface for administrators and data stewards seamlessly aligns with Fabric’s user experience. This integration fundamentally transforms how organizations can approach and manage their data, enabling critical tasks like matching, merging, standardizing and remediating data to occur within Fabric itself.
The Importance of Consumable Data in Microsoft Fabric
But why is this so important? While Fabric brings together data from many sources, its true value is realized only when that data is fully prepared and consumable (often known as Gold Medallion data). Embedding MDM within Fabric equips users with the tools to transform disparate data into high-quality, unified information, ensuring it’s ready for analytics, AI, and decision-making. With consumable data at the core, businesses can operate with a level of data trust and accessibility that drives innovation and agility.
Commented Dipti Borkar, VP of Azure Data at Microsoft, “Profisee MDM brings a critical capability to Microsoft Fabric, providing businesses the means to turn raw data into actionable, trusted insights faster than ever. Together, we’re simplifying and enhancing the entire data management experience for our users.”
“Profisee is proud to empower data scientists, citizen analysts and business leaders alike with ready-to-use, high-quality data within Fabric,” said Profisee CEO Len Finkle. This collaboration represents a powerful step forward in delivering consumable, trusted data, fueling insights and opportunities across every industry.”
Stay tuned as we continue to advance Fabric’s data management capabilities with Profisee’s integrated MDM solution. The Profisee Fabric extension will enter public preview on December 2, 2024, allowing Fabric customers to trial the integrated MDM experience, and Profisee customers to enable their Profisee platform, integrated within Microsoft Fabric.
