Profisee 2026R1: AI That Understands Meaning and Master Data That Is Available Everywhere

Key Takeaways

  • The new Profisee MCP Server enables secure, two-way access to master data directly within AI tools and developer workflows.

  • Two new Aisey AI agents automate attribute-level data quality resolution and intelligent record enrichment, with full audit trails.

  • AI Similarity Matching uses semantic vector embeddings to match records that mean the same thing but are written differently.

  • Native Parquet integration with ADLS Gen2 enables bidirectional, enterprise-grade data exchange with major Lakehouse platforms.

I’m excited to announce Profisee 2026R1, a release that pushes master data management into where the enterprise is heading: AI-driven workflows, Lakehouse-native integration and users who expect data to be available inside the tools they already use.

Most MDM platforms still operate as the destination for stewardship and usage. But in today’s data environment, the destination is wherever the user already works. A chat interface, a Lakehouse, a connected application or, increasingly, AI agents. Logging into a separate MDM tool to access or steward master data is friction the modern data stack can’t afford.

With 2026R1, we’ve unlocked the potential of AI within Profisee for enhanced operational efficiencies and AI within the organization by providing better access to high-quality, context rich data.

MCP Server: Secure, Two-Way Access to Master Data — Where Work Actually Happens

The premier feature in 2026R1 is the Profisee MCP Server because it fundamentally changes how master data can be accessed, managed and consumed.

The Profisee MCP Server enables secure, two-way interaction with Profisee master data from any MCP-compatible tool, so users and AI agents alike can find, use and act on trusted data in the flow of work without exporting it or recreating it somewhere else.

The core idea is straightforward:

  • The MCP Server is a secure bridge between today’s AI tools and Profisee MDM
  • It allows AI to query the right customer, product, supplier or location record on demand
  • When appropriate, it can write changes back to Profisee so improvements don’t get lost in spreadsheets and side systems

Just as importantly, governance doesn’t get weaker as access gets broader. The MCP Server enforces Profisee’s permissions and policies, so users only see and do what they’re authorized to do. And because trusted data is available in real time where people increasingly need it, customers will enjoy better adoption, fewer shadow datasets and a cleaner path to AI-enabled work.

The MCP Server turns Profisee from a destination system into a secure, AI-ready master data resource that powers enterprise AI solutions.

AI That Understands Meaning

We’ve been pioneering agentic AI in MDM for a while, and 2026R1 takes it further with capabilities that move from “help me analyze this” to “handle this for me — safely.”

Intelligent Agents That Reduce Stewardship Load

Two new Aisey agents are designed to tackle the repetitive work that bogs down stewardship teams:

  • Aisey Data Quality Agent automatically resolves attribute-level quality issues as they’re detected. You can standardize formats, validate values and apply rules based on the context fields you configure while maintaining full audit trails.
  • Aisey Enrichment Agent fills missing attribute values intelligently using other record attributes as context so records are more complete without humans doing the fill-in work.

The key is human-in-the-loop by design — you control the context fields, trigger conditions and guardrails. Every AI driven change is logged and auditable.

AI Similarity Matching: Match on Meaning, Not Just Text

Traditional string-matching breaks down when two values mean the same thing but don’t look alike (e.g., “30” and “Thirty”). AI Similarity Matching solves this by comparing meaning rather than characters, so conceptually identical values are recognized as matches even when they’re written completely differently.

This means you can stop maintaining endless synonym lists, catch the false negatives you’re missing today and confidently match master data across source systems that use entirely different terminology.

Choose AI Vector as a match type, select the embedding model, set your thresholds and combine it with existing similarity methods so you stay in control of where and how it applies. Critically, this approach doesn’t require sending all your data to an AI model, which means it scales to production volumes without the cost or privacy tradeoffs that typically come with AI-powered matching.

Native Lakehouse Integration: Parquet File Exchange Built In

With 2026R1, Profisee deepens its lakehouse integration on two fronts. This makes it easier than ever to move master data in and out of modern data platforms and to make it available natively inside Microsoft Fabric.

Parquet File Exchange, Built In

Profisee now supports bidirectional Parquet integration with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), so mastered data flows naturally in and out of the Lakehouse at scale. It’s built into the Connect microservice with enterprise-grade capabilities like validation, error quarantine and retry logic, so teams can configure self-service data movement without standing up extra orchestration layers. It works with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric’s OneLake and any lakehouse platform that supports the open Parquet format.

Fabric Open Mirroring

For Microsoft Fabric users, 2026R1 adds support for Fabric Open Mirroring, making it easier than ever to make high-quality master data available directly inside Fabric without custom pipelines or manual exports. Master data shows up where Fabric users already work, clean, governed and ready to use.

Alation Integration: Unified Data Governance

For organizations using Alation’s Agentic Data Intelligence Platform, we now have native integration. Metadata from Profisee appears in Alation’s catalog, allowing it to be governed as a part of the broader data estate.

Why this matters: Governance teams get a complete view of trusted data across the enterprise. Business users discover and understand master data through Alation’s search without accessing Profisee directly. AI initiatives get the governed, quality-assured foundation they need with clear data provenance.

Administration Re-imagined: Less Friction, Broader Access

Profisee continues to invest in making MDM easier to administer, reducing the technical overhead that has historically made MDM projects slow and specialist-dependent. 2026R1 includes major updates to three key administrative experiences:

  • FastApp Configuration makes it easier to configure Profisee applications for different business organizations, surfacing the context and data that’s meaningful for each team.
  • Forms Configuration delivers an all-new experience for designing how records are presented to data stewards, complete with a live preview so you can see exactly what you’re building as you build it.
  • Matching and Survivorship brings a more intuitive interface to one of Profisee’s most powerful capabilities, making it easier to configure and simpler to operate at scale.

What’s Next

2026R1 is master data management built for how organizations work with data in 2026. That means agents that can act safely, integration that’s native to modern data architectures and accessibility that meets users in their actual workflows.

We built 2026R1 based on what you told us you needed, and I’m excited to see what you build with it.
