MDS001: End-user Training

Prerequisites	Basic proficiency with PCs and corporate master data

Content	Through a combination of lecture, demonstration and self-paced practice, MDS001 students learn the basic functions of the Microsoft MDS Explorer as well as how to work with Version Management. The Explorer allows end-users to maintain the members in a master model—entities, hierarchies, collections and related members and attributes.

Prerequisite Skills or Courses	MDS001 or demonstrated Microsoft MDS product skills and knowledge
Who Should Attend	System Administrators and Master Data Model Administrators
Content	Through a combination of lecture, demonstration and self-paced practice, MDS002 students will understand the concepts behind the application and gain an in-depth knowledge of all the administrative functions. MDS002 students will also learn how to administer and maintain their product environment, including modeling guidelines, the initial data import, application security, and exporting data for subscribing systems.
