Profisee Announces Master Data Maestro Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 "Denali"

ATLANTA, GA — November 17, 2011— Profisee (www.profisee.com), a master data management and data quality software company, is pleased to announce that Master Data Maestro Version 2.5 is a dual support platform. It will continue to run seamlessly with SQL Server 2008 R2 and will fully support the forthcoming release of SQL Server 2012 (codenamed “Denali”), including its revamped version of Microsoft Master Data Services (Microsoft MDS).

Profisee Practice Director of Master Data Services Eric Melcher reflects, “In our experience working with the current release candidate, Microsoft continues to improve upon the MDS platform. We see companies testing Denali and already using the Excel Add-in for one-off and prototyping exercises. Maestro customers have asked to leverage the flexibility of Excel but within a controlled desktop environment, so the new release of Maestro Desktop builds upon Denali’s Excel enhancements to deliver easy importing and cut/paste functionality. Improvements to Denali’s web interface built in Silverlight dovetail with Profisee’s vision of web-based, high-availability access for occasional data consumers and a rich client, fully functional application for hardcore data stewards.”

More impressively, Profisee was one of only four companies invited by Microsoft to be inaugural members of the Microsoft MDS ISV partner program. As a participant in the Denali Community Technology Preview (CTP), Profisee is confirming smooth customer migration from SQL Server 2008 R2 MDS to SQL Server 2012 MDS, as well as ensuring the quality and performance of the Master Data Maestro suite on the SQL Server 2012 platform.

Master Data Maestro Version 2.5 will be generally available February 2012. A Beta Program will open for Microsoft MDS customers with production models beginning in December 2011. As pre-release software, SQL Server 2012 CTP3 is currently available for download and testing; general availability is touted for the first half of 2012.

Profisee is also extending their Master Data Services Enhanced Software Support by adding help desk software support for SQL Server 2012 MDS, as well as continuing to offer help desk software support for the SQL Server 2008 R2 MDS release.
